As previously mentioned, I’ve definitely put my fitness goals on the back burner.
It felt great to lift and get some cardio in!
I would really like to start doing cardio every morning before I start working. My parents have an elliptical upstairs but I never use it! But it’s perfect for inducing some endorphins to start off each day :)
Shoulder poppin’ a little bit today. More more more!

What a great response to my first challenge!
Here are just some guidelines & ideas to help you get started:
- Go grocery shop and load up on: favorite fruits & veggies, almonds & other nuts and seeds, lean protein, greek yogurt, eggs, coconut & olive oil, stevia or truvia, chia & flax, unsweetened almond milk, approved carbs & starches. See a list of “Clean Foods” here!
- Meal Prep! Measure out your goodies for on-the-go! Don’t feel like cooking up something? Meal prepping is the lazy person’s secret to staying healthy!
- Don’t underestimate yourself. If you’re eating a lot of sugary, processed things right now, it may be hard for the first few days but I promise that by the end, your tastebuds will have changed and you’ll crave healthier options.
- Inspire. This is a challenge meaning (hopefully) many people will participate! Tag photos of your clean food as #EATCLEAN14 so that we can share and inspire each other with yummy recipes!
- This contest will be held from Tuesday, March 12 to Tuesday, March 26.

On feelin’ the “F word”:
Ya know….fat. (shudders)
You guys the craziest thing happened, though. I can’t really bring myself to actually use the word fat when describing myself. or anyone else I guess. It’s just such a nasty word.
I see that as such huge progress mentally. And I’m pretty happy about it :)
Time to start treating my body right because I’m honestly not feelin’ my best. But I’ll use these emotions to fuel myself positively.
